Hello, there!

I’m Jen Waite.

I’m a mom, seamstress, and sewing pattern designer living amongst the tall cedar trees of the Tiger Mountains. I have a passion for fabric and sewing and inspiring others to learn how to sew.

Always a maker

My interest in sewing started with making friendship bracelets, latch hook rugs, cross stitch, and middle school sewing class. My grandmother was a seamstress, but I wasn’t lucky enough to have been taught by her, I do have fond memories of visiting with her in her sewing room, in awe of all the tools, and beautiful fabrics. My mom had a serger that she used to sew ice skating costumes for my sister growing up. My passion for sewing really began after I was married and in my first home. I made cushions, drapes, and baby clothes for my daughter. My love for sewing and quilting has grown from there. Back in the early days of Craftsy I learned to quilt from their online classes. I also read lots of quilt magazines, and books.

I remember the first time I stepped into a quilt store in Sisters, Oregon. I was in awe of all the beautiful fabrics. My first fabric designer crush was Amy Butler. I loved her bold floral designs. Back then I thought, one day I will have a quilt shop just like the one in Sisters. And here I am 20 years later, with an online shop selling my favorite fabrics. It’s been a fun and challenging 2 years since I opened my shop in 2022. I’m excited to see what this dream will become.

I appreciate you visiting my website, and supporting my small business. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge, and giving back to the community with comfort quilts for kids. A few charities I support are Quilts for Kids, and Sew Powerful.
